DISCLAIMER: There are circumstances that you cannot budget your way out of. Unfortunately, there are quite a few people who just do not have the financial resources to change their circumstances without either getting additional financial assistance or finding another source of income. I will do my very best to help find a way around the struggle, but there is not much I can do if you are unable to afford even the bare necessities. Please feel free to reach out anyway and let me know that this might be your situation since sometimes it can help to have a second pair of eyes. There may be something you're missing.
Everybody learns at a different pace, and I want to ensure you have ample time to get as much value out of this as possible. Each package expires one year after the initial payment date, with a maximum of 10 sessions, and I am always reachable by email between sessions to answer basic questions.
Back to Basics
Have no clue where to start when it comes to your finances? This is a great option for just getting a healthy foundation of knowledge and a plan to move forward with. Finance can be scary and you don’t need to learn it all at once, so just the basics should keep you from getting overwhelmed while making sure you’re not gonna be having sleep for dinner. We’ll cover the last year of your finances, make you a budget that isn’t bleeding you dry, make sure you have and know how to use the correct kind of bank accounts, start working toward an emergency fund, and automate as much as we can to make your life easier. We want our money working for us, not the other way around.
Debt Defeater
So you’ve got a budget that you can stick to, you have an emergency fund that can keep you afloat when life has you down, and you’re eager for the next steps to financial confidence? We’re talking about different strategies to pay down debt, credit scores, credit cards, and how we can get credit card companies to pay us. It’s extremely hard to stay out of debt in our current system, but debt, like money, is a tool we can use to propel ourselves further into the life we want. We just need to be smart about it and stay on top of it.
Informed Investor
Your debt is going down and your credit is going up! What’s the next step? Investing for your future of course! As nice as it would be to make 10 million dollars every year and be able to casually put aside enough money to retire, that is unfortunately unlikely. Instead, us regular people have to rely on compounding interest and investments to be able to enjoy our golden years. We’re gonna chat about the different kinds of retirement accounts, and how to use them properly, we’ll break down stocks, bonds, ETF’s, Index funds, and other scary-sounding things, and then we’ll get to how we can use a regular brokerage account to get us to our next big goal in life. Investing is terrifying, but only when you have no clue where to start. Once you get started, you’ll look back at past you and say “Hey, jump in, the water’s giving me a 7% annual return on my investments!”
Complete Collection
Whoa, slow down there buddy, we can’t learn all of this at once! The Complete Collection is going to be a comprehensive overhaul of everything you thought you knew about personal finance. We’ll meet around 1-2 times a month to make sure you’re staying on track and digesting everything properly. We gotta work from the bottom up, so we’ll start with the basics and begin to build some healthy habits before moving on to the exponentially more daunting tasks of manhandling your debt, and then we’ll eventually get you to start making money off of your money. Sound fun? No? That’s okay, I’ll have enough fun for the both of us because for some sadistic reason, I actually enjoy doing this.
A La Carte
Maybe you’re comfortable with the retirement account you have, you already have an emergency fund and you already know plenty about credit cards, but you still want to learn about paying down debt and opening a brokerage account for shorter-term investing. We can just focus on the things you might need a little more clarity on, that way you get the best bang for your buck (which I would encourage as your financial counselor), and can still add to your existing wealth of knowledge.
